Sambas Botanical Garden
The master plan design for the Sambas Botanical Gardens in Kalimantan carries the concept of locality with tropical architecture that is in harmony with nature. Divided into several zones, this area is designed to maintain biodiversity and environmental education. The use of earth tone colors strengthens the natural impression, creating a green space that is harmonious, comfortable, and reflects local cultural identity.
Designed as a tourism, exploration and research area with supporting facilities according to the zone. The tourist zone offers thematic parks and recreation areas, the exploration zone offers educational trails, while the research zone is equipped with laboratories and gardens collecting rare plants.
The idea of the form taken cannot be separated from the traditional Malay architecture of Sambas
